Cipio Partners Appoints Alexander Brand to its Investment Team

Munich/Luxembourg – May 15, 2018 – Cipio Partners announces that Alexander Brand, the former CEO of Windeln.de SE, has joined the firm’s investment team.

Before joining Cipio Partners, Alex co-founded windeln.de SE, grew the business as its CEO to more than €200 million in revenues and took the company public on the Frankfurt stock exchange. Previously, he worked for Siemens AG in various management roles and co-founded mobile marketing business 12snap AG.  He started his career in management consulting at A.T. Kearney after graduating from Stanford University and TH Karlsruhe.

Managing Partners Diana Meyel and Roland Dennert commented: „We are delighted to see Alex, a successful two-time entrepreneur, join our team.  We have known him for many years and have been impressed by the strategic vision and execution skills he has brought to his companies.  When he decided to step down from Windeln.de, it was only logical that we reached out to him.” Alexander Brand will join Cipio Partners full-time as Venture Partner and focus on new investments and portfolio management.

Cipio Partners was founded by Werner Dreesbach and Dr. Hans-Dieter Koch in 2003. As it expanded, the firm added Diana Meyel and Roland Dennert as Managing Partners in 2011. Christoph Wedegaertner was promoted to Managing Partner in 2017 following the successful raising of Cipio Partners Fund VII.
