Cipio Partners announces Alexander Brand as Managing Partner

Alexander Brand joined Cipio Partners in May 2018 as a full-time Venture Partner working on both new investments and portfolio management. During his tenure at Cipio Partners Alex was involved in numerous new and existing investments and represents the firm on the boards of Whisbi (Spain), Vitafy (Germany) and Zappi (UK).

Co-Founder and Managing Partner Dr. Hans-Dieter Koch commented: „We had known Alex for many years and have always been impressed by the strategic vision and execution skills he has shown as an operator.  We are delighted to see Alex also work successfully as a growth investor. Since joining Cipio Partners three years ago, he has become an integral part of our leadership team it was only logical to name Alex Managing Partner.”

Alex added: "After working for almost two decades as a founder and executive of technology companies I am enjoying the new perspective as an investor and board director. Cipio Partners’ focus on scaling technology companies that have outgrown the early-stage venture phase allows me to share the experience I have gained in scaling technology businesses in many years as an entrepreneur."

Before joining Cipio Partners, Alex co-founded windeln.de SE, grew the business as its Co-CEO to more than €200 million in revenues and took the company public on the Frankfurt stock exchange. Previously, he worked for Siemens AG in various management roles and co-founded mobile marketing business 12snap AG.  He started his career in management consulting at A.T. Kearney after graduating from Stanford University and TH Karlsruhe.
